Del 13 al 16 de enero de 2010, la American Mathematical Society celebró en San Francisco (EE.UU.) el Joint Mathematical Meeting, en el que se otorgaron un total de once premios, a saber:

  • AMS Steele Prize for a Seminal Contribution to Research: Robert Griess (University of Michigan);
  • AMS Steele Prize for Exposition: David Eisenbud (University of California, Berkeley);
  • AMS-SIAM Wiener Prize in Applied Mathematics: David Donoho (Stanford University);
  • AMS Conant Prize: Bryna Kra (Northwestern University);
  • JPBM Communications Award: Marcus du Sautoy (University of Oxford);
  • AMS-MAA-SIAM Morgan Prize: Scott Duke Kominers (Harvard Business Economics PhD program);
  • AMS Award for Distinguished Public Service: Carlos Castillo Chavez (Arizona State University);
  • AMS Robbins Prize: Ileana Streinu (Smith College);
  • AMS Moore Prize: Sorin Popa (University of California, Los Angeles);
  • AMS Veblen Prize: Tobias H. Colding (MIT), William P. Minicozzi II ((Johns Hopkins University) y Paul Seidel (MIT).
